CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES
Rocky Bay Child and Family Services is committed to providing ongoing support to strengthen and empower children and families. We use a collaborative cultural approach within our service departments.
Rocky Bay Child and Family Services recognizes the importance of maintaining family, community and cultural connectedness in its approach to ensuring positive child development and safety. Our Child and Family Service workers will collaborate with our families to gather information and assess the individual and collective needs of the family in order to reduce risk and increase safety in order to reconcile and preserve family units.
Rocky Bay First Nation in partnership with Rocky Bay Child and Family Services will work together to protect, provide safety, stability and support in a manner that recognizes and promotes traditional healing and wellness in the best interests of child, family and the community. Child and Family Service workers will support our children and families by working to support and advocate with the families to ensure our children stay connected to our community. Our goal is to provide our families with the necessary resources in order to keep family unity.
Rocky Bay Child and Family Services works collectively with its acting Mandated Child Protection Agency and provides on-call services to our members in the event of immediate Child Protection concerns. There is an updated schedule that is posted monthly to our webpage with contact information if a worker is needed to be available to support our families.
