Parenting Support

Parenting Support:

The Parenting Support Worker is responsible for providing hands on support to our BZA parents/families on and off the First Nation.  The Parenting Support Worker will engage parents in the community to enhance the knowledge and skills for healthy relationships that can provide safe, nurturing environments for children to prevent child protection concerns in the homes of our BZA members.  The Parenting Support Worker will initiate referrals and connect members with additional services and resources as needed.

Programs: programs that enhance parenting skills such as building safety and security with their children, healthy eating, depression, grief and loss, addictions, triple-p-programming, structure, and routines, promote play time with their children, programming to encourage socialization with other parents, budgeting, anger management, promoting ways to build self-esteem, etc.
